choosing discounted hotel deals-hotel booking

Booking hotel is the act of choosing your preferred hotel in advance; it is quite interesting when you have   a reserved accommodation at the destination of your travelling before your departure.  Most of the time travelers like international businessmen and tourist are the first level in hotel booking.

  There are various things for you to consider before booking any hotel; the best booking time, the last minute deals, how to ask for a discount etc.

  Knowing the best time to book a hotel is very important, as hotel prices vary from time to time,   most hotel managers give discount of about 10% of the total room they have, this discount only apply when people are not booking in their hotels. For example ,  a company that has 5000 rooms  in the beginning of a year  may give  discount of 10  percent of the total rooms, meaning  five hundred rooms will be free, this means if the hotel  booking price is $300, the hotel managers will continue collecting  the full price from their customers  until when  they observe that the  most of their room is empty and  the year is coming to an end , then at this time the management will apply the  discount ,of which it affect the full price drastically. What it means here is that if at it third quarter and just has some few months to another year and a hotel has about 50% of its room not booked, it will   apply the 10% discount rule.  A hotel with 5000 total number of room will therefore divide the total price of the remaining hotels by the price of the original 10% which is 500 rooms. At the end of the day the full price of the hotel will reduce very low. But if the hotel is lucky to sale more than 90% of its total room before its third quarter then the discount rule may not apply and the hotel will sell at full price throughout the year.

 What is very important here is to know when the hotel is   applying the discount rule, which could be the 15^th, 30^th, 45^th or 90^th day prior to stay.

 A hotels that cater for international businessmen, may review its booking system in less than a two or a week to stay because most businessmen may utilize their room in not more than a period of three weeks. So the hotel will review the discount in not less than a week or two. While hotel that cater for tourist will have it booking review lately because the tourist most of the time will book hotel far prior before their stay.

 Some hotels have their booking style differently, they may decide to say 80% of their room will be  at full-price while the rest of the 20% will be  at the discounted price, the percentage of the discount vary from hotel to hotel, some  may give 50% or 40 while others may give more or less than these.
